What Judges and Court Officials Should Expect from Assessments
This training session provides a deep dive into the heightened trafficking risks faced by youth in foster care, focusing on how specific vulnerability factors—such as instability, lack of social support, and systemic marginalization—contribute to disproportionate risk. Participants will gain the skills needed to recognize and respond to the unique challenges faced by marginalized populations, including those affected by poverty, racial discrimination, and gender identity issues. Emphasis will be placed on implementing trauma-informed strategies that address these challenges through a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach. By understanding the root causes of vulnerability, attendees will learn to effectively support at-risk youth, identify signs of trafficking, and collaborate across agencies to create safer, more resilient environments.
