The Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center provides children and their families who have been traumatized small things that can help make a stressful situation easier for them.
Our shelves hold a small, bright spot and sense of caring in a situation that can be stressful and sometimes scary. The Dakota Children’s Advocacy Center prides itself in meeting family’s needs and trying to individualize our response to them.
A child may find comfort in the warmth of a blanket or a hug from a soft, stuffed animal. Families that drive long distances may need gas to get to services or meal gift cards when they spend most of the day with us. Some families need clothes for their children and snacks are always greatly appreciated.
